What a session. the first propr day of the Forces-of-Nature meeting at Borth and quite a few people were due to turn up. not only that but the day had dawned with 20-25 knot NW winds and a fairly easy sea, so things were looking good. First task of the day though was to dig Rabbits car out of the sand at the estuary where he'd got it stuck the night before afetr a couple of hours in the pub!!

Back to the seafront, and I was first out on the water with my 5m sail and wave board, soon followed by Steve and Spencer. Conditions were just perfect. The waves were only small at this point, so it was a nice easy session well powered up on small kit. A few others (BEFS, Paul, Nick) were a little dubious of the conditions with their bigger boards, but gave it a go on the sea before heading off to the calmer waters of the estuary where they met Dave, Sarah, AndyW, Rabbit and a few others.

Quite a few people turned up at the seafront too, including Dazzamuffin, Ben, Derek, Jonah, ajdesq, Ian and Stevebus (along with a few I've missed). Everyone sailed all day until we just couldn't hold on any longer, and the waves increased in size as the tide came in, so towards the end of the session the ramps were bigger and steeper, then jumps higher, the wave-rides better and the crashes bigger!

A few other F-O-N members were about surfing further down the beach and some turned up just to watch as well.

Although the waves could have been better quality, I'm still going to give it five stars as its rare that you get to sail well-powered up on small kit all day long in warm sunny conditions with a group of friends.
